The Women's Foundation Fund

The Women's Foundation Fund provides on-going funding for the Women's Resource Center programs in the tri-county area of Polk, Hardee, and Highlands Counties.

The Women's Fund will also provide the seed monies for new programs aimed at the changing needs of women in Auburndale, Bartow, Dundee, Frostproof, Ft. Meade, Haines City, Lake Wales, Lakeland, Mulberry, Polk City, and Winter Haven.

Annually the Women’s Resource Center serves over 5,000 women and families through the following programs:

• Basic and Emergency Needs
• Domestic Violence Support Groups

• Dress for Success – free outfits and cosmetics for women going to job interviews after being unemployed

• Financial Workshops

• How to Surf the Web without Drowning, Introduction to Computer Courses

• Independence You, a nine-month-long program focusing on long-term goals of financial & emotional independence

• Information/Referral Hotline for Women

• Job Training for Retail Sales and Office Administration –  programs for unemployed women, programs for women over the age of 55

• Life Enrichment Series – e.g. Stress Management, Anger Management, Peer Support

• Teenage Girl Issues – work with the PACE and Star Program Clients

• The Resource Rack Thrift Shop

• Weekly Case Management

• Women in Transition Workshops

Programs are open to the public with no restrictions on income levels.  Our goal is to meet the needs of all women and their families in Polk County in order to help them become better citizens. 

• 100% of your contributions to this fund will go to WRC programs.
• 100% of your contribution is tax-deductible.
