Junior League of Greater Winter Haven

Junior League of Greater Winter Haven (JLGWH) is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. For over 40 years, JLGWH has been a driving force in Winter Haven, initiating and supporting countless projects that serve women, children, and families in need.

One of JLGWH’s most impactful initiatives has been the creation of the Women’s Resource Center. Recognizing a growing need for a dedicated space to support, empower, and uplift women in the community, JLGWH spearheaded the effort to launch the center. Through careful research, collaboration, and fundraising, members turned their vision into a reality—creating a safe, welcoming environment where women can access vital resources such as career coaching, personal development programs, hygiene products, and crisis support.

The Women’s Resource Center stands as a testament to the League’s mission and its members’ dedication to lasting community change. What began as a dream within JLGWH has grown into a trusted community hub that continues to serve hundreds of women each year—proving that when women come together with purpose, incredible things happen.
