Stronger Every Step Forward.
At the Women’s Resource Center, help looks different for every family who walks through our door, so our services are built to meet people where they are. From housing assistance and emergency utility support to counseling, a food pantry, hygiene essentials, and clothing through our Cheep Boutique, we address the immediate needs that can derail a family’s stability. Alongside that, our Independence Program, Back to Work classes, and computer lab help clients build the skills and confidence to move toward lasting self-sufficiency.
No matter where you start, there’s no wrong door here, and no judgment. We’ll help you find the right fit.

Workshops and encouragement from our staff helped her enroll in college, earn her medical assistant certificate, and start building the future she once thought was out of reach. Independence Program
Clients build the life skills, financial literacy, and support network they need to move toward true self-sufficiency. Through weekly workshops and one-on-one meetings with a client services specialist, each participant sets short- and long-term goals across three pillars: financial literacy, personal growth, and professional development. Topics range from credit counseling and budgeting to first-time homebuyer guidance and understanding the cycle of domestic violence. A three-month commitment is encouraged so members have time to reach their goals.
Back to Work Program
Getting back into the workforce takes more than a resume. Our Back to Work classes help clients build job-readiness skills, from interview preparation to workplace communication, so they can find and keep stable employment on the path to independence.
Computer Lab
Many opportunities start online. Our on-site computer lab gives clients free access to computers and internet for job searches, applications, resumes, and skill-building courses, with support available for those who need it.
Mental Health Counseling
WRC offers free counseling to adults and to minors with parent or guardian permission. Sessions run up to 50 minutes, and family counseling is available. Clients under 18 must have a parent or guardian’s consent, who may also be asked to join part of the first visit. Call (863) 294-5318 to schedule.
Emergency Utility Assistance
A missed utility bill can be the difference between stability and crisis. We offer emergency assistance to help eligible families keep the lights and water on while they work toward longer-term financial footing.
Housing Assistance
Through Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Rehousing, we help individuals and families avoid losing their housing or move quickly back into stable housing after a crisis, pairing financial assistance with case management support.
Food Pantry
No family should have to choose between rent and groceries. Our food pantry provides nutritious food to clients and community members facing food insecurity, with no judgment attached.
Hygiene Closet
Basic hygiene items aren’t always basic to afford. Our Hygiene Closet provides essentials like soap, shampoo, and personal care products to clients at no cost.
Clothing & Household Vouchers — Cheep Boutique
Through vouchers redeemable at our thrift store, Cheep Boutique, clients can shop for clothing and household items with dignity and choice, at no cost to them.

First Friday of the month (evening hours): 5:00pm – 8:00pm
4th Saturday of the month: 10:00am – 2:00pm
